- National Alliance
for Direct Support Professionals chapters exist in 12 states
- The Kansas Alliance
of Direct Support Professionals was formed on March 10, 2004.
- Members currently
represent these organizations:
Arrowhead West, Wichita, Dodge City, Medicine Lodge
Creative Community Living, Winfield
Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas, Hays
Flinthills Services,
El Dorado
Individual Support Systems, Topeka
Lakemary Center, Paola
Rainbows United,
Wichita
Starkey, Wichita
Sheltered Living, Topeka
Topeka Association for Retarded Citizins, Topeka
- State Chapters
include: Alaska, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan,
Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Tennessee
What Now?
- The organization
needs support from Direct Support Professionals in every community
- Your participation
is needed to continue the development of the organization and to support
the goals for Direct Support Professionals.
Where
Do We Go From Here?
- Local
groups need to be developed.

Statewide representatives need to be identified from local groups to participate
in the statewide development.
Action
- Spread the news about the Kansas Alliance of Direct Support Professionals and
the NADSP.
- Join the chapter and bring a friend.
- Get
involved in your community to help make change occur in your profession.
